Our annual membership costs $15 plus tax and may be used by up to two residents in the same household.
​Membership entitles you to a discount of $2 on all regularly-priced, special event and premium screenings. Premium screenings include all Cineplex Events. The discount does not apply to children's ticket prices.

City Hall Auditorium is wheelchair accessible.  Access is through the rear Market Square entrance and up to the main floor in the elevator.  For holders of accessible parking permits, there are several parking spaces around Market Square.  Patrons with mobility issues are required to cross Market Square from the parking areas in order to access the building as the square is a pedestrian-only zone.

Rentals of City Hall Auditorium are managed by the City of Stratford, Clerk's Department.  If you are enquiring about the use of our projection equipment, please contact us at admin@queenofthesquare.ca for dates, availability and pricing.  Please note, the projection equipment can only be operated by our trained staff.

The doors of City Hall Auditorium open 30 minutes before each screening. Tickets are non-reserved so seating is on a first-come first-seated basis.

We accept cash, debit and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard only).

Yes, drinks, food and a variety of snack items are available for sale. No outside food or drink permitted. Due to heritage designation of City Hall Auditorium, no food or drink is allowed in the balcony (bottled water excluded).

The maximum seating capacity on the ground floor is 100 seats and 100 seats in the balcony for a total 200 seats.

When setting up your registration, the system will accept your birth date in the order of year, month, day. To avoid the message that your birth date is not valid, please be sure to select your birth year first, followed by month, followed by day.

Films are represented by different distributors and each film has its own release strategy based on factors such as: the number of cinemas showing the film within a specific geographic area; wide release or a limited release art-house title or general interest; or single screen cinema vs. multiplex. If there is a new title screening at another cinema in our region appropriate to our cinema and of interest to our audience, chances are Queen of the Square will have the opportunity to license that film within a few weeks. 

Queen of the Square Cinema is located inside Stratford City Hall Auditorium, a space that is shared with a variety of community groups who stage special events throughout the year which result in changes to our schedule.  Generally, our screenings are held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, Friday matinees for seniors and and opera, ballet and travelogue screenings on Saturday or Sunday on various weekends throughout each month.  Please consult the web site or our Facebook page for updates or subscribe to our monthly newsletter.
